Hey i have been doing a lot of researching the mini jet boats or kiwi boats and i have been planning building one and so far i have a few jet skis that i can use to power it.. The design of the hull and jet intake were done using 3d cad pakage call pro engineer. the stator and impeller were machined on a 4th axis cnc milling machine. hull design: the hull was designed from looking at pictures of jetsprint boats and modelled on 3d cad package (pro-engineer) the dimensions are 1000mm in length x 390mm in width.. Jet boats that carry passengers at planing speed, on any river, for hire or reward are required to have a safe operational plan (sop) under maritime rule part 82. a vessel required to operate under a safe operational plan cannot then be under a maritime transport operator plan..
These sets of plans will get you on your way to having your own mini jet boat.. A new design for a bfj drag boat.
